paper

Paper is disappearing, losing its footing to technology. It once held first place position as an essential everyday component of our society, now paper is rapidly being replaced by more cost effective production, losing its role to more versatile, less permanent means - this technology is filling our time and our hands. Our quiet moments of solitude and introspection with paper are lost. These sculptures capture paper in its various manifestations, referencing their life cycle and encapsulating them in time. Reminding us that paper provides solace and true moments alone, moments not fractured by distraction on screens. These works freeze time and pay homage to the hours I have effortlessly lost to paper.
